Internet Business Blog

Branded traffic vs SEOGone for good are the days when website owners or their SEO person could buy any links to rank their websites for chosen keywords.

Now, after various Google algorithm updates, which continue, what matter the most is the content and how it is shared. The content must be original, informative, engaging and valuable, so that others want to share it, comment on it and talk about it.

There are of course niches, where the type of content doesn’t get shared that much (for example blogs about diapers, carpet cleaners and similar). But still great content published there helps them rank better in search engines.

When you build a brand around your blog, product and services it turns your internet presence into gold. Publishing great content is what helps you build your brand.

Content needs to be fresh as well as unique IMO. Writing about topics that has been covered elsewhere will not be so beneficial from an SEO perspective and i think that is the biggest challenge that bloggers have to face..

The Google algorithm updates are really effective to encourage everyone to provide high quality contents rather than doing some shortcuts to gain traffic. If you are consistent with the quality of contents you provide, you won’t be affected no matter how many updates Google may implement.-

SEO is the most common internet marketing strategy of nowadays, unless you want to pay Google per clicks. Although the most common SEO techniques don’t work in the post-panda age anymore, there are some really nice strategies using social media for building back-links.

SEO techniques are changing day by day. And doing SEO is getting harder too. I really prefer advertising than doing SEO. It saves time and labor.

Oftentimes, SEO and branded traffic are associated with each other maybe because both have similar objective; to increase rank and if possible be on top of the other sites. You clear things up and give brilliant information about their similarities and differences. Good post. I hope we could read more of your articles in the future.

Love the article. A real eye – head opener. In some areas such as domain name, this is even more important. Many companies have decided to choose their URL based on keywords which is not a concern in SEO. In my personal opinion, keyword based domain names actually hurt branding.

Well I’ll go for branded traffic. It’s more organic compared to really focusing on SEO alone.
